Founded in Northern Germany in 2011, VMI supports shipowners, shipyards, contractors and industrial operators with marine surveys, coating and corrosion QA/QC, and project oversight.
Our experience covers newbuilding, refit, dry-dock and operational assignments, with a strong focus on standards compliance, risk reduction and reliable handover.
VMI also represents the AMPP Germany Chapter, supporting the advancement of professional corrosion-control and protective-coating practices.

Our work is organised around three connected areas:
- Marine Surveys — condition, dry-dock, afloat, construction and refit surveys with clear findings and prioritised actions.
- Coating & Corrosion QA/QC — inspection from surface preparation through final acceptance, aligned with ISO 12944, IMO PSPC and AMPP practices.
- AI-Enabled Marine Operations — practical automation, inspection reporting, document triage, risk visibility and operational dashboards integrated with existing workflows.
